Chunky Chips

Once you’ve made these, you will never buy frozen chips again!

You will need: baking tray, pastry brush, bowl, whisk.

Ingredients:

  • 1 jacket potato (maris piper if you want a type) per person eating
  • 2-3 slugs of oil
  • good does of maldon salt and freshly ground black pepper

Slice the potatoes into chip-like wedges (no need to peel) whilst mixing the oil, salt and pepper in another bowl. Toss the chips in the oil mix and spread out on the baking tray before putting in the oven at 220c for 15-20 mins.

n.b. These are also delicious when using sweet potatoes too and doubly healthy as they count as 1 of your 5 a day!
